Georgetown Public Library adult programs

GEORGETOWN — The Georgetown Public Library will hold a variety of programs for adults.

At 2 p.m. July 12, the library will show a movie.

Zentangle and Adult Coloring will be held at 6 p.m. July 19.

On July 26 at 6 p.m. is an adults-only spelling bee.

Mark Zacharia’s magic show, Back Despite Popular Demand, will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 2.

The bingo sheets will continue through August 6.  There is no registration for the Summer Reading Program for adults; stop by the library to pick up your bingo card.  Once you complete bingo, return the card for a chance to win a prize.

Wine tasting, art auction benefits KINfolk

MILLSBORO — The 11th annual Wine Tasting & Art Auction to benefit KINfolk will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 20 at The Cordrey Center, located in the East Coast Garden Center in Millsboro.

The event features live and silent auctions and a selection of wines from Teller Wines. Dave Wilson will be the auctioneer for the evening.

Admission is $30.

Master Gardeners open house July 16

GEORGETOWN — The Master Gardeners open house, A Day in the Garden, is scheduled for July 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is held in the garden behind the County Extensions Office, 16483 County Seat Highway, Georgetown.

There will be gardens with many new features, mini-workshops, a plant sale and some special events for children.

Cash bingo in Milton

MILTON — The Milton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will host Cash Bingo on July 19, 2016.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Games start at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $20 reserved in advance and $25 at the door.

There will be door prizes, and concessions will be available for purchase.  You must be 18 years old to attend.  Call 684-8626 or 856-6420 to reserve your tickets.

 

Coin show July 16 at Legion Post 28

MILLSBORO — The South Delaware Coin Show will be held July 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at American Legion Post 28 on Legion Road east of Millsboro.

The show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is free.

Possum Point Players host Summer Theatre Camps

GEORGETOWN — Possum Point Players will host Summer Theatre Camps for students.

Theatre Academy will be held July 25-29 for students in grades 6-10.

Drama Camp will be held Aug. 1-5 for students in grades 2-5.

IRVFC Ladies Auxiliary hosting Sunday breakfasts

OAK ORCHARD — The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary is hosting Sunday morning breakfast events.

Buffet-style breakfasts are scheduled for July 20, August 14, Sept. 11 and Oct. 9.

Breakfasts run from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 5-12 and children 4 and under are admitted free.

Proceeds benefit the IRVFC Ladies Auxiliary.
